Episode 72: SEO Gate and how to get your google listing back!
In this mini podcast Rahul and Andy discuss SEO Gate, tips on how to get your profile back and why community over competition always wins!
Here are the steps to try and talk to someone at Google.
***FIRSTLY DON'T PANIC YOU WILL GET YOUR PROFILE BACK - ITS JUST A BIT OF AN ANNOYING PROCESS TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE - AND THE APPEAL WORKS TOO!
There are two ways and we recommend doing both:
Burt first of all before you do the below go through and change your area to service area as explained here:
Change your area to a service area and not an address as explained in this video here> https://youtu.be/BIoZadHLPRs - You can do this whilst your profile is disabled.
**First Method - Appeal**
Submit and appeal and use the steps in the video https://support.google.com/business/answer/4569145
**Second Method - Speak to Support**
Use this link to contact support: https://support.google.com/business/gethelp?hl=en-GB
You may need to sign up to a google workspace account but its free so sign up and get one and **you need to be signed in to that google workspace account**
At this link select your business you need help with
and in the box below what we can help with type 'Transfer Review'
Then select the same option in the next step
Then press next
Then next again
Then you'll get to a button to call or speak to live support.
Follow the steps above - just to make your address a service area - unless you can prove you have clients come over to your premises, which is quite hard, so I would personally recommend becoming a service are instead, get your profile back then speak to Google on what they need as proof to show you people come to your premises.
When speaking to the agent - just be super nice, remain calm and explain whats happened - they are there to help you and they truly will! :)
